What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Merry Christmas everyone! Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa, Happy Yule, and to everyone else, enjoy the day off! And eat cake! Unless it looks like one of these--these are just too precious to eat!

I can't get over the green blanket on the bear cake. Actually, the whole bear, but I can wrap my head around the fact that the bear might be cake (might be, because holy crap fuzzy looks real), but I stared at the blanket for way too long and....well, just look at the thing! How is that even possible? It's got pilling, for God's sake!

Merry Christmas everyone! It's a good thing I was not the recipient of that teddy bear cake, 'cause I would have been one sad lady when the cake squished all over me when I inevitably tried to squeeze it tight. Seriously, how is it that perfect?!

Thank you for sharing all that sugary goodness on Sundays...and for causing so many snickers, horrified stares, and snarky comments during the week.
