I don't think I could touch that deer cake. It would make me feel like a murderer!
If winter felt even remotely as wonderful as cake #2 looks, I'd take it all year long. And just how is cake #3 levitating like that? Looks like sugary magic!
The little girl with the umbrella and puppy is fantastic. And there's NO WAY I could possibly eat that fawn, let alone cut into it. I'm ready for spring.

The snowshoe topped cake was a great reminder of my week. I live in Birmingham, AL. The locals refer to it as B'ham (BH+AM). Pine trees are ubiquitous here. And we just went through a dusting that shut down the area for two days - now affectionately known as SNOWMAGEDON! (Dun, dun, dun, dun) The snowshoes would have come in handy.

I don't know which of these I like best (after the penguins, of course). That snowflake one and the hot chocolate one are mighty fine, though.
The pupa hanging off the tree stump is one of the finest little touches I've ever seen on a cake.
The fiddle ferns are pretty darned fabulous, too.
Just squeeed at the happy sun and cocoa cakes :D
If winter was half as appealing as those winter cakes, I'd love the season. That snowflake one was just incredible! But that darling little girl, and that fawn, and those butterflies...major squeeing from my direction this morning!

It makes me NUTS when people put penguins and polar bears together. I bought a puzzle of the United States once and each piece had a picture of something that symbolizes each state. The piece of Alaska had a picture of a penguin on it. o.O Thanks Sharyn for pointing out that they would need to travel to meet their "friends" the polar bears. I know it's just a cake, but this mistake happens more often than you might think.
That fawn cake is simply amazing. And that floating cake -- how did they DO THAT?
Now inspired to draw faces on my marshmallows with a Sharpie. Sharpies are edible, right?
We're vitamin D deficient here in the Pacific Northwest. I think I'll just spend the next 6 weeks looking at that sunshine cake. That should do the trick, right?
They are all wonderful but my favorite is the cocoa & marshmallow -- and I don't even like cocoa.

Love all of them. The groundhog is cute but the penguins and polar bear cake is my favorite. The cup of hot chocolate is just adorable. Adorable yummy cake goodness.
Beth, I saw a happy adipose too! I knew it would be a hot chocolate cake from the caption, but when I saw it, my brain said "adipose!" Before it said "marshmallow!" ...should I be concerned about that?
These are so beautiful! I'm afraid if I ate the fawn cake it'd break my vegan diet (or "doet," as my phone tried to say... Lol). ;)

Beautiful cakes! I wouldn't mind 6 more weeks of winter- I've been wearing shorts off and on for the last 3 weeks, spring is coming too soon here in AZ!

My sister says (and I agree) that we wouldn't be able to eat the fawn/little girl/groundhog cake. We would shellac them and keep them forever.

When I first learned about Groundhog Day in second grade, I didn't understand the concept---even at that age, I knew that in Minnesota we always had six more weeks (at least) of winter. I somehow missed the fact that the groundhog in question lived in Pennsylvania, where the weather wasn't exactly the same as Minnesota...
I can't be the only one hoping that the fawn cake isn't red velvet!
Can you all send some of your extra Winter to California? We haven't had this little rainfall in 20 years... When there are wildfires in January, it makes you fear for your life and lungs during the summer. *sigh*
That said, I love the fawn cake!! And you all are so right, the marshmallow looks exactly like an Adipose. ;)
Love the icicle cake. At the risk of destroying the floating illusion, it looks like it is on a clear acrylic stand. You have to look really close to see the thin stem. I'm still impressed.
Anyone else see giant centipedes crawling around the birch tree cake? No? Alrighty then, dibs on Bambi's brain!
