October 25, 2011 October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, bakers, which means this is your last week to slap pink icing ribbons on everything and guilt your customers into buying last month's leftover cookies:

Of course, since even the simple ribbon loop is beyond many bakers' skill set, you might want to cheat a bit by using candy molds:

Because when I remember a painful loss, the first thing I want to do - I mean, AFTER celebrating the fact that I just remembered my painful loss - is eat a giant cookie cake.

OMG! I can't believe one of my pics finally made it on the site! I can't believe I get to share the page with the ring of stomachs and the "pink teeth things"! Such an honor. Sad as it may be, the excitement I am feeling now is right up there with my wedding day and the birth of my children!

As a recent survivor, I think that the baker/decorator/vandals were undergoing chemo, queasy,and suffering from "chemo-brain", which refers to moments of vagueness or spaciness.

Definitely should have been Celebrating the Loss of a Mammary, but the oh-so-helpful wreckerator, sensitized by Cakewrecks and unfamiliar with Latin, corrected both the spelling and the grammar. Also, irony-impaired, but that's part of the job description.
Some of those "stomachs" look a little bit too much like... well... think John Bobbitt, and you'll know what I mean.
I figured that the "Happy Breast Awareness Birthday" cake was for a 13-year-old boy who was becoming aware of breasts in a new way.
