A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.
Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

My husband looking over my shoulder just said, "that is not terribly appetizing." I think the clown with candles stuck in its hair gives new meaning to the phrase: "your hair is on fire." And someone gave this to a friend as a gift to someone she liked? Yuck.
Looks a bit like the Joker! Love your site...don't think you'd mind but I posted your site link on my blogroll. :)
What is all that blue squiggle on the bottom supposed to be? A collar? Haha. Good one!
I have never liked clowns. This is just a testament to why. They are freakish, terrifying, psychotic - every little girl at the parade's nightmare!
Happy Birthday? How about a Wicked Witch cake while you're at it? Huh?
Kat
Kind of reminds me of the clown from Stephen Kings "IT".
i am not usually scared of clowns in fact I LOVE Tim Curry in IT but this made me cringe and back away form the computer!
I think your site will create another trend.
Picture ordering a cake and deep down hoping that upon pickup, it's a wreck. "Please be a wreck, please be a wreck, it will be so funny, please be a wreck."
That's a Wreck-Junkie.

I would totally eat his nose first.

Is this a cupcake cake?
If not, the hair must be entirely frosting which alone makes me want to hurl.
I think the proper way to cut this cake is with short overhanded stabbing motions, kind of like he would be using on you AAAAHHHHH!
Easily one of the scariest things I've ever seen. Thee only thing more alarming would be those creepy eyes staring back at me after the rest of the cake had been hacked away and served to the party.
Love your site! It cracks me up!
Uh oh...what have you started? Next there will be "Cake Wreckorating" classes...
Can't sleep. Clown will eat me.
(rocks in corner)
Well, that's scary enough to be a good Halloween cake. :)
Keept it going.
I think it is a combo of a round cake AND a cupcake cake! Ugh!!!
Jill
It looks like Penny Wise the clown from Stephen Kings horror movie "IT"! That thing was spooky!
If John Wayne Gacy were a cake....
horriblelicenseplates: i believe the blue squiggle is supposed to be closely trimmed facial hair.
I especially like the "5 o'clock shadow" in blue.
I especially like the "5 o'clock shadow" in blue.
i have always hated clowns, simply because they're scary and they're hideous.
*cries* I HATE CLOWNS!!! Scary!!
Whoa! Just the sort of cake you DON'T want at a toddler's party. After French-Canadian willies, of course.
Scary beyond all reason.
Twisty, beautiful Simpsons reference. Now where's that Krusty the Clown cake with the nicotine icing and candy cigarette candles?
Looks like a distorted version of Medusa and Insane Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
Hah.

This cake was made by the wonderful Jennie to scare MB a little for her birthday ^_^ (Joy made the cupcake hair).
We didn't eat it at the party though! It was too hilarious so we ate another cake and brought Homicidal Bobo to the office. He sat in the fridge terrifying onlookers for about a week. Then I probably ate about half of that cake. After I was convinced that the evil clown had been slain, it was quite delicious.
THANKS FOR POSTING OUR CAKE
