What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

WHAT DO WE WANT?

WHEN DO WE WANT IT?

AND WHERE DO WE WANT IT?

Oh, good. Glad we cleared that up.

Thanks to Tammy P., Bryce G., & Kylie K. for the demonstration.

(And in case you're wondering about that last one: they asked the baker to write the name on the side.)

What? They didn't label the top and bottom too?

Randy Cassinham, over on "This is True" has a word for these people: obliviot.

What do we want? Dumb bakers? When do we want them? Now!

I love the "water spikes" on the HMS Pinafore cake. So realistic.

Am I the only person who is disturbed by the censorship stripes on the incomprehensible artwork of the first cake? Does it have genitals? How could you tell??
