What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

To Be Fair, The Fish Are Naked, Too

Hey, did you know it's Nude Recreation Week?

No?

The weird thing is, neither did this baker:

o.0

Believe it or not, this was for Canada day last week. CANADA day.

Maybe the baker was trying to get a rise out of us?
(BWAHAHAA... ew.)

Presenting my new favorite graduation cake of all time:

"Feel the 'congratulations,' Kronk."
"Oh, I can feel it."

There are about a bazillion of us Jennifers out there, but thanks to this one's birthday cake, we ALL get a special gift:

That's right: from now on you can call me...

THE JIFFENER.

(Because choosey Jens choose "Jiff!")

Here comes the sun
[doo dee doo doo doo]
Here comes the sun...

QUICK IRON MAN PUNCH IT IN THE FACE

I've been watching the new Ninja Turtles series lately (because suck it, Game of Thrones), and guess what this reminds me of. Go on:

You see it, right? If the light reflections were eyes? Right?

BOOYA. (...kasha.)

Good luck eating a pink ice cream cone now without thinking, "THIS IS THE KRANG ICE CREAM OF THE PLACE WITH THE CAKES THAT POSTS THE CAKES THAT SOMETIMES LOOK LIKE KRANG ICE CREAM."

You're welcome.

And finally, the best part isn't the botched inscription:

The best part is this is an anniversary cake.

LOVE.
(Or... not?)

Thanks to Ashley T., Rebecca R., Sarah M., Jennifer D., Kate P., Anony M., & Heather B. for helping keep love alive.

Hey; don't shoot the messenger;
save that for the wreckorator!
Happy- whatever- the -message- that- wasn't!?
=^-.-^=

Nothing says "You've been a bitter disappointment to your parents for 18 years, now get out" than that graduation 'cake'.

Is it possible the candida cake was for a scientist specializing in yeast research? ;)

Hey Jiffiner, I too saw KRANG right off the bat! Thank you. I love me some TMNT. Now I shall have that theme song stuck in my head all day, but don't mind at all. speaking of...Cakewrecks should have it's own themse song! There is your mission, should you choose to accept it, and you should cuz choosy Jens choose Jiffi.

Looks like "Tippener" to me.

Is it just me, or has Cake Wrecks become less thematic since it came out of reruns? Oh well, still funny.

I mean, he's not really punching it. He's doing a superhero landing . . . on the sun . . . which is floating in the ocean . . .

My parents said when I was a toddler I had a doll that I named Jeffener.

July 12, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterLST

I once received a letter addressed to "Jeffifer".

Whatever was "Thou shalt not" KILL supposed to be??

July 12, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterKathy

My cousin called me Jeffiner for the first part of my life, he still does occasionally. My dad had him convinced I was going to be a boy and my name would be Jeffery. So he learned to say Jeff.... and then I was born. BOOM!
Jeffiner. I mean, Jenifer. What's my name?!

To be fair to whomever decorated that Happy Birthday Jiffner cake, I was once in a class with a Jennifer who went by the nickname "Jiffy." I have no idea why that was her nickname. It was a long time ago. (Maybe she was into Jiffy Pop Popcorn?) Anyway, there is a tiny possibility that this case could have been for her. Or not.

Dab more icing on "Here comes the sun" and I'll take it!

The Jippener cake made me laugh the most, but I wanted to say that the sun cupcake reminded me of that creepy Sun Fizz (Sprite) parody commercial.

July 12, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterMike

Far be it from me to argue with the folks from cake wrecks, but I believe the cake reads "Jippnex", which sounds like a trailmix variety, unless your choosing to use a French pronounciation, in which it then sounds like a Pokemon name.

Oh my... 😂 The Iron Man sun cake... great job on making us laugh.

I was about to comment that “Thou Shalt Not Kill” might be a reference to the book Scythe, but then I remembered... it’s “thou shalt kill” in the book. Oops.

10,000 points for the Yzma quote!!

July 12, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterCara

My sister was 2 when I was born. She couldn't pronounce "Jennifer" so she called me "Jeffrin".
And don't get me started on the "Gennifers" and "Jenniphers" out there!!!

- still not JEFFIFER.

July 13, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterJenny

That last cake is for an anniversary?? Wonders which one is the thou shalt not kill one lol. Cause I am going on ten years and need ideas for cakes.. just probably not that one lol.

July 13, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterArlene Marie

The last cake should be shared with Bethany over at The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks.

July 13, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterTerry Lee

Does anyone remember the Tony Orlando & Dawn song "Candida"? Maybe it was a cake for her namesake.
I read Jeffiner as Jippner. It's still funny.
I read Bill instead of Kill. So then it's "thou shalt not" (quoting) Bill. Who he is, I don't know.

July 14, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterJuin

I love the totally unnecessary quotes on "Thou Shalt Not" - because it's in quotes, does that mean we CAN?
