What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

When A Wreckerator Calls

"Psst. Listen."

"I know you're scared."

"But I need you to listen to me..."

"The call..."

"...is coming..."

"...from INSIDE..."

"...the bakery."

"Gooble!?"

"Oh, never mind."

"Also it's Thanksgiving. Good luck!"

Thanks to Ursula S., Karyn D., Ken K., Nickincam, and Tammy T. for helping us understand why so many turkey cakes look terrified.

Let the glorious annual parade of poo wang turkeys begin!

We don't get poo wang turkeys Down Under - the nearest we get on our Day Of White People Arriving is cakes supposed to look like flip-flops (or, for added cultural misunderstanding hilarity, the footwear we call 'thongs'...)

What on earth is this obsession with the turkies' feet? That cookie cake is ridiculous.

Those aren't cookies, that there is a "doughnut cake".
