What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

They Should Have Ordered a Semper Pie

Um, if it helps any, here's a picture of a Marine squirrel I found while looking for angry Sarge pictures:

See? I knew it would help.

Thanks Jessica, G! And I think I speak for everyone here when I say, "happy two00 & four tea onest birthday, Marine Corps!"

How ironic that this wreck follows National Education Week. What's the old saying?

"If you can read this bumper sticker, thank a teacher. If you can read it in English, thank our military."

And we DO thank you!

*head-desk* It's sad when the best thing you can say about the cake is that they managed to spell "Birthday" correctly.

I feel the need to give honor to one of the greatest men to ever don the uniform os a US Marine to try and help remove the memory of that terrible cake.

My son is a Marine, and at the Marine Ball this past week, they each received a pin reading, "Happy 241th Birthday" Apparently the Marines employ bakers in their editing department!
