What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

"Especially chewie cake" Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! Excellent!
Love the photoshop on the pics, too. That puts it all into perspective. Thanks John (thoj)!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Thanks John, I needed that on this miserable Monday.

Just to show you how far my standards have sunk, I think the snowman looks pretty good. Cinderella looks as if Prince Charming used her for a punching bag, poor thing.

Cinderella smiles
A sweet, flirtatious grin
But when it comes to Sparrow
She knows she just can't win
Perhaps her youth and beauty
Will warm the heart of Olaf
But no, he's made of snow
She'll simply have to back off
Perhaps she'll hit on Anna
And go a whole new way
But she'll never help with household chores
All she want to do is play
Now Chewbacca, there's a real "man?"
With his burly, hairy chest
And Han Solo's gotten older and some say he's at his best
But perhaps she'll choose to stay alone
Give her wand'ring heart a rest
She might cultivate some "me time"
And learn to be her best
She might get a job, or travel
Strike an independent air
Or go back and work on Sparrow
Johnny Depp is under there...

I think it only adds to Cinderella's cake that the age is numbered "3nd"

That last one looks like a Wookiee had a one night stand with a Hutt. I think I'm going to have nightmares.

"Chewie, we're... OH MY GOD!"

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterIan K

Nailed it! :) Never seen Chewie's fur looking better! NOT!

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterVixx

Hahahaahahahaa! That Jack is brilliant.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDegera

I have to admit I kind of like the Jack Sparrow one :)

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterSue K

Were you going for "very disturbing"? Nailed it!

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterVicky

LOVE the Jack Sparrow one! So happy!

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterLesli

Can... never... unsee... Want... to... bleach... brain... ::: weeps :::

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterJennifer

@SuBee, you GO girl!!

So, I was scrolling, scrolling, and when I got to the Jack Sparrow cake, for a split second there my Monday-fogged brain thought it was another Cinderella cake, even more badly executed than the first two! I think it's because his shirt is blue, like Cinderella's dress.

John, love the cakes superimposed on the characters!

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterJodi

It's like looking at twins, if one twin was raised in the fields of Chernobyl, and conceived near the fukushema power plant O_o

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered Commentermindy1

Looks like ol' Jack Sparrow has misplaced his cutlass.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered Commenterjackwire

Gee, and they don't even have the excuse that these are cupcakes....

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterAlison in Indiana

I laughed way too hard at Han and Chewie. Thanks!

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBookworm

I think the Cinderella cake qualifies as a "butter-face"; her body's looking good, butter face...

That Jack Sparrow cracks me up. It would be a good interpretation if drawn by a kindergartner, but from an adult in a profession centered around having artistic skills....

The last cake must be for Episode VIII; looks like Chewie's back after spending the last 30 years in retirement.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterNerfbomb

Good grief. I can't tell if Chewbacca is horrified or constipated.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterRobert

Brilliant!

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered Commenters.marie

The Cinderella one looks like the troll face.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterKyle

The placement of Olaf's "hand" is a bit questionable, don't you think? Is that really going to help the movie keep that G rating? Disney, I'm shocked!

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterGinger

Have to agree with @Jodi on the Sparrow cake. I was thinking the theme was princesses and my initial impression was that it was Snow White and I wondered why she had a beard...

@Subee..my hat's off to you - your versifying talent is awesome.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterLady Kal

Excellent photoshop skills, john (thoJ). SuBee, you are hilarious as always!

When I saw the Jack Sparrow wreck superimposed, the first thing that popped into my mind was South Park.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterZippy

Oh dear, the moment I saw 'Chewbacca' I thought "Oh, look, it's the Golgothan caca demon from the movie 'Dogma', what an odd thing to put on a cake." Then I saw the bandolier. Then it became apparent that poor Chewie has just looked in a mirror and seen himself - that would explain the horror in his eyes.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDr Handle

I don't EVER want to see a wookie floating in a swimming pool.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterHairfish

Oh look, is Jhonny Derp!

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDanime

Oh dear...after all these years, Chewy really looks like shhhh...ugar...yeah, that's it... sugar, brown stinky sugar, ;)

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterGayle

This is brilliant! (Also terrifying.)

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterLadycrim

Cinderella appears to be suffering from Belle's palsy, a condition of unknown origin affecting fairy tale princesses.

October 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterEoin

@Eoin--well done!
She may be suffering from Anna-rexia, as well.

October 20, 2015 | Unregistered Commenterjackwire

Lol poor Chewie. He looks like he's seen way too many scary things lol. All of these are fitting for Halloween. Wow.

October 20, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterArlene Marie

OK - These were all brilliant, but I LOST IT at the Chewbacca cake. Thanks Jen!

October 20, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterJoanne From GA

I have been following Cake Wrecks for years. This is the most horrifying thing I have yet to see here. Nice job!

October 20, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterColleen Foley

Officially your best post ever.

October 20, 2015 | Unregistered Commenterjadeybee

The Jack Sparrow photoshop made me laugh so hard I cried. Almost as hard as the Yoda wreck photoshopped on to Luke's back.
ALMOST.

October 30, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterEmma

The Jack Sparrow cake had me rolling on the floor laughing!

November 2, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterMorgan

OK, the Jack Sparrow cake... At first glance, I thought, "Who ordered a Whooping Goldberg cake?" I think I have a future as a Cake Wreck creator!

December 1, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDiane

Looks like Chewie has had a bad hair day.
