What's a Wreck?
A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

There will be no survivors! The Dread Pirate Roberts takes no survivors. Are there any Princess Bride wrecks?
The cloak didn't belong to the Albino, it belonged to Miracle Max and he gave it to Fezzik. lol

Not to reveal myself as too much of a nerd and risk annoying you for correcting you, but the holocaust cloak came from Miracle Max's, if you're going by the movie, and the swamp where Fezzik had to find incredients for the miracle pill, if you're going by the book.

I assumed this was going to be a Ghostbusters post, and I got all excited. This was just as good though.

FWIW though, the holocaust cloak was Miracle Max's, not the albino's. Fezzig found it at Max's and "it fit so nice, he said I could have it."

Two of my favorite things in one post - Star Wars and The Princess Bride!
Hmmmmm... maybe it was a commentary of how much Trek rocks over Star Wars? You know, relegating SW to the side of the cake. Because if that's the Annoying Anakin figure, I'm with the wrecker.

True story:
One day, on another cake website, a decorator was lookiing for ideas for a cake. IT was to be Star Wars themed birthday. She wanted to write "Star Date" and the birthday on it. I quickly jumped in with "No, no. One is Star Trek and one is Star Wars! Don't cross teh streams!"
Thankfully, there was someone on the website who actually GOT the Ghost Busters reference. That said, I heartily applaud your post today!

I don't really watch sci-fi movies, but I can practically quote every line of The Princess Bride, and even I recognize the very horror being committed by this travesty of a cake.

Unfortunately for some, wreckerators can't make a cake "as you wish". It's inconceivable!

I love the mash-up! Especially the Ghostbusters bit. Bravo to the few who noticed the "cross the streams" part. I feel I must add:
